Exterior/Interior

While the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV has a masculine design similar to the diesel-powered Silverado, General Motors constructed it on their dedicated Ultium EV platform instead of the traditional body-on-frame design. Its exterior surfacing and proportions reflect its athletic performance and capabilities. Its shape nearly resembles the Chevrolet Avalanche from the early 2000s because of its slanted C-pillar plus more substantial bodywork than other traditional trucks.

Chevrolet said that the functional shape and front-end design help direct air down the Silverado EV's body sides, improving efficiency and minimizing drag. Chevrolet offers the 2024 Silverado EV only in a crew cab configuration with four doors. The rear and front overhangs are shortened, giving it a more aggressive appearance.

The 2024 Silverado EV has a five-foot, 11-inch bed, with the RST trim having an innovative mid-gate that you can open to get extra storage between the bed and cab. It has a lockable, waterproof front trunk in the front that gives an extra 10.7 cubic feet of storage space. Chevrolet added its practical multi-flex tailgate to the RST model, which allows it to carry items up to ten feet long.

The crew cab configuration gives the 2024 Silverado EV ample interior space. It can accommodate up to five people, with its second-row seats pushed rearward, offering more space for taller passengers. It has a 40/60 folding second-row seat configuration, allowing you to fit large cargo items without foregoing the passenger seat.

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV has two electric motors plus an estimated 200-kWh battery that produces a combined 615 lb-ft of torque and 510 horsepower. The RST First edition can temporarily produce 754 horsepower plus 785 lb-ft of torque when you engage the Wide Open Watts feature.

The 2024 Silverado EV powertrain offers an estimated 450-mile maximum driving range. When fully equipped, it can tow up to 10,000 pounds. All trims come with a standard single-speed automatic transmission plus all-wheel-drive.

The 2024 Chevy Silverado EV has adaptive air suspension and 24-inch wheels, allowing it to efficiently handle difficult Le Roy and Batavia road conditions and terrains. The EPA gives the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV an estimated 59 MPGe on highways and 67 MPGe in the city.

Technology/ Features

Chevrolet has equipped the 2024 Silverado EV with an 11-inch infotainment touchscreen plus an eight-inch digital gauge cluster. There is also an available 11-inch gauge cluster, a 17-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a 14-inch head-up display.

The feature-rich infotainment system also has wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Google Assistant, voice recognition, a Wi-Fi hotspot, an audio system, Bluetooth, and two USB ports. The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV has a rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, pedestrian and cyclist detection, forward collision warning, automatic high-beam headlights, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, forward automatic emergency braking, rear-seat alert, and lane-keep assist.

It also has driver-assist features like park assist, head-up display, super cruise, driver-attention monitoring, traffic-sign recognition, and reverse collision warning.
