Interior and Exterior Design

The Chevy Equinox EV has an eye-catching exterior and an interior that is just as appealing. The Equinox EV offers different features depending on the trim that you get. Even the base model starts with notable upscale features, such as a diamond-accented dashboard and seats with contrast stitching. Moving up to the higher-level trims means you'll get more luxury features, such as leather seats and unique color schemes. Soft-touch doors are another pleasing amenity. You can also get an Equinox EV with a sportier look. Some features, such as heated front seats, customizable interior lights, and a heated steering wheel, are available to enhance your preferred trim level.

Performance

With the Chevy Equinox EV comes a towing capacity of 1,500 pounds. The Equinox EV has a standard front-wheel drivetrain, but you can also get a special all-wheel drive system called eAWD. With front-wheel drive, the Chevy uses a single motor to reach up to 210 horsepower and 242 pound-feet of torque. With eAWD, the Chevy has a dual-motor configuration instead and can reach up to 290 horsepower and 346 pound-feet of torque. The Chevy Equinox EV can get up to 319 miles of electric range with the single motor and slightly less with the dual motor.

Safety and Technology

The Chevy Equinox EV has safety aids and technology for Le Roy and Batavia drivers. A long standard list of innovative safety tech includes a forward collision alert, rear sensors, a safety alert seat, and a blind-spot warning. Other safety aids are available, including a digital rearview camera, a head-up display, and a 360-degree camera. For technology, the base trim level has dual 11-inch display screens and a driver's digital instrument panel. On some trims, you can upgrade to a larger 17.7-inch touchscreen, which is also standard on the top trim levels.

Trim Levels

There are five trim levels in the Equinox EV lineup.

  • The base model is the 1LT, which has standard front-wheel drive, an 11.5 kW onboard charging station, and front-wheel drive.
  • The 2LT has a heated steering wheel, heated side mirrors, and heated front seats. Its exterior gets an LED light bar on the front end. Front-wheel drive is also standard, and all-wheel drive is optional.
  • With the 3LT comes even more features, including ventilated front seats and heated front-row and back-row seats. This trim level has larger 21-inch wheels with an aluminum finish.
  • The 2RS has a sporty and bold exterior design. Along with heated seats all around, the 2RS has a flat-bottom steering wheel that is also heated.
  • With the 3RS, you have even more to look forward to. The 3RS also has a sportier exterior design with a heated wiper park, steering wheel, and seats. Black 21-inch wheels enhance its style.
